Typekit & Adobe Creative Cloud join forces

Touching on some points I made earlier in the week when talking about the Fontshop Photoshop Plugin could this be the beginning of allowing designers to connect their typekit accounts to there Adobe CS6 suite. Adobe are working hard on there Adobe Creative Cloud platform due for release this spring.

Beginning today, you can update your Typekit account to use an Adobe ID. If you already have an Adobe ID, this means one less login to remember; you can sign in to typekit.com with the same username and password you use to sign in to other Adobe products. If you don’t yet have an Adobe ID, creating one takes only a few seconds, and doing so will pave the way for you to take advantage of Adobe’s Creative Cloud service launching this spring.

Adobe have already integrated other services into there software such as Kuler, allowing users to sign in directly within photoshop to view and use all there Kuler colour palettes.

I imagine it will work in a similar fashion with Typekit and webfonts, users will hopefully be able to access there webfonts right within there favorite application, Photoshop or Fireworks(Wishful thinking). All typefaces should be stored in your creative cloud and can be accessed by signing into with your Adobe ID. What computer you are using should no longer matter, signing in would download your workspace layout, allow you to access your webfonts, Kuler palettes and much more.

Mr Elliot Jay Stocks touched on this area last march, you can read
